Hvidovre IF have banned 11 supporters from the stadium following a violent attack on FC Fredericia fans after a match last month. The club has labelled the incident 'completely unacceptable' and is working with police on an investigation.

The match against FC Fredericia, which Hvidovre won 2-1 on August 30, was marred by disturbing scenes afterwards. Fredericia supporters boarding their team bus were attacked by a group of Hvidovre fans. Søren Pabst, communications officer for FC Fredericia, described the episode as an 'unfortunate way to celebrate a victory'.

"Praise to our own travelling security staff, who took good care of the children and families who were on the bus," said Pabst. No injuries were reported during the assault.

Hvidovre Fodbold acted swiftly, identifying 11 individuals who have now been handed stadium bans. The club emphasised that such episodes are taken extremely seriously. "This is a beginning trend that we will not accept," the club stated, adding that it is cooperating with its own security team and police to identify and sanction those responsible.

The incident overshadows a strong sporting period for Hvidovre, who began an unbeaten run with the win over Fredericia. The team currently sits top of the 1. Division with 21 points from nine games, holding a two-point lead over Vejle. Their last five results show three wins and two draws.

Next up is a key top-of-the-table clash away to Vejle on October 9, a match that could be key in the promotion race. View the full schedule on our fixtures page. With a goal difference of +9 this season, the team has shown solid strength at both ends of the pitch.
